I work as a deputy manager at Little Pippins preschool and have been there for 15 years.

SUE MARTIN
Assistant Church Sectretary
I have been married to Kevin, who is a member of the Church Property Team, for 52 years and we have lived in Haydon Wick for 50 years.
We have two sons, two daughters-in-law and four grandchildren. My interests apart from family include reading, gardening, caravanning and walking.
I have been attending Emmanuel since 1980 and served as an EIder and Church Secretary for many years. I am a member of the Thursday Lunch Club team and also lead Tuesday Group (a ladies group).
BEN GOUGH
Elder
I've been at Emmanuel since I was a teenager, and over the years have found a lot of support by being part of the church in Haydon Wick.
I have also been working for an electricity company as a linesman for a similar number of years. I am married, and have two children growing up fast, who are also part of the church.
I really enjoy my paddle sports including kayaking, canoeing and more recently stand-up paddle boarding. For several years now I have been involved in Sea Scouts, where I teach kayaking and canoeing.
LUCY GOUGH
Elder
As a young adult, I was involved in the URC National Youth Executive (back when it was called FURY). When I moved to Swindon for a new job I looked for a church that felt like home and found the congregation at Emmanuel to be very welcoming. I married a Swindonian and we have two children. I enjoy my additional roles within Splat and the all-age worship team. When time allows, I like reading and geocaching.
CLARE ARMAGAN
Elder
I have lived in Haydon Wick for most of my life and started Sunday School at Emmanuel at the age of six. I have regularly attended as an adult for around 15 years and have enjoyed being part of the All Age Worship team for many of these.
My three children are now grown up but I have a wonderful grandson, Leo, who keeps me smiling! I love walking and travelling and I'm always looking for new things to learn.
This is my first year as an Elder and I'm looking forward to serving and to the new opportunities it will bring.
LISA HARTWELL
Elder
I moved to Swindon with my mum in 2021 so we could be closer to family, and we were genuinely touched by how warmly Emmanuel welcomed us.
I work in Audio Production and love unwinding with a good book. Although I grew up in the URC, I’ve experienced a range of denominations as an adult, and serving as an Elder is a first for me.
